Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Spot Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Tuesday rose 0.38 per cent to Rs 811.40 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery grew Rs 3.10 or 0.38 per cent to Rs 811.40 per kg in a business turnover of 1,813 lots.
Zinc futures decline on weak trend
Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 1.36 per cent to Rs 250.50 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower by Rs 3.45 or 1.36 per cent at Rs 250.50 per kg in 437 lots.
Aluminium futures fall on low participation
Aluminium prices on Tuesday declined 90 paise to Rs 233.05 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May fell 90 paise or 0.38 per cent to Rs 233.05 per kg in 1,356 lots.
